The 1/2″ × 60 yd white strapping tape is a tough, mono-oriented or tensilized polypropylene film coated with a strong, high-tack acrylic adhesive. Typically around 2.7–2.8 mil thick, it delivers tensile strength of about 97–145 lb/in², adhesion to steel near 30–35 oz/in, and elongation around 35%—making it ideal for palletizing, bundling, unitizing shipments, and color-coding boxes. It resists temperatures from roughly 30 °F to 160–180 °F.
